Attractions
St Mary Magdalene Church
The Church of St Mary Magdalene is a historic parish church which has been at the heart of the rural community for over seven hundred years.
The church is in Bleddfa, Powys, once Radnorshire, and part of the old welsh territory Maelienydd.

Over the centuries plagues, wars, religious and social revolutions have come and gone and yet St. Mary Magdalene's Church has survived!
The church's beautiful 15th century roof viewed from the inside is a perfect example of craftmanship of the period and well worth a visit.
Bleddfa Centre
The Bleddfa Centre was bought by the Sidney Nolan trust in 2019.
It includes the Hall Barn and the Old School Gallery and was used to host exhibitions, craft shows, workshops etc.
The community rent the Hall for community events during the year.

Offa's Dyke and Trail
Offa's Dyke marks the ancient border between England and Wales.
The Offa Dyke centre in Knighton, is part of the Offa's Dyke Association (offasdyke.org.uk) and provides a wealth of information about the history of the dyke and the trail.

Knighton is unique as half the town is in Wales and the other half is in England, a sign of how the border has changed over the years.
Elan Valley
The Elan Valley is situated to the west of Rhayader, and sometimes referred to as the "Welsh Lake District". It is a haven for wildlife and nature with 72 square miles of stunning scenery offering year-round opportunities for exploration and outdoor activities. The reservoirs, which were opened in 1906, provide clean drinking water to Birmingham by using only gravity to transport it.
Water-Break-Its-Neck
After the rain the waterfall with its unusual name at Warren Wood is a spectacular sight. There are different trails which are well marked and a small picnic area at the car park.
Griffin-Lloyd Shooting Ground
Griffin-Lloyd offers a wide variety of clay target shooting. There are 26 stands, each with a minimum of two traps. Stands 1 to 15 offer challenging targets for all abilities and includes a ‘friend & family’ area for beginners.
Spaceguard Centre
The Spaceguard Centre is a working observatory to monitor near Earth hazards. It's the only organisation in the UK dedicated to this. It is also the UK's main source of information
about near Earth objects.

The centre is open to the public and based in Knighton.
We believe that a strong community is the backbone of a happy society. By meeting together, laughing together and supporting each other, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and for our future generations.
